Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
- Location: Manchester
- Salary: Up to £34,250
- Hours: 39 hours per week
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a background in small plant equipment and diesel-powered machinery. The role involves a mix of site-based servicing and repairs, equipment setup, and workshop-based work.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with small plant equipment
- Knowledge of diesel-powered equipment
- NVQ Level 2–3 in Engineering or equivalent
- Ability to carry out site servicing, repairs, and equipment setup, including delivery and collection of machinery
- Workshop/shop-based maintenance experience
Skills & Attributes:
- Basic understanding of hydraulic systems (or willingness to learn and develop new skills)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate maintenance and service records
- Able to work independently using own initiative as well as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence required
Additional Information:
- CSCS card is preferable, however training can be provided
