Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Groundworks Foreman to manage and oversee all groundworks operations on a busy construction project based in Heathrow. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and site supervision, with proven experience delivering groundworks packages including drainage, foundations, and external works.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising groundworks gangs and subcontractors on site
- Managing day-to-day site operations safely and efficiently
- Overseeing all groundworks activities including drainage, foundations, ducting, earthworks, and external works
- Delivery of paving, kerbing, edging, and finishing works to specification
- Reading and interpreting drawings and construction plans
- Coordinating labour, plant, and materials
- Ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Conducting toolbox talks and site briefings
- Liaising with site management, engineers, and client representatives
- Monitoring progress and reporting updates to senior management
Requirements
- CSCS Gold Card – Essential
- SMSTS – Essential
- First Aid at Work – Desirable
- Temporary Works Co-ordinator – Desirable
- CAT & Genny – Desirable
- Strong background in groundworks, drainage, and external works packages
- Experience delivering paving and kerbing works
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Strong leadership and communication skills
