Vehicle Assembler / Fitter

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm and Friday 6am to 12.30pm.
Duties to include:

• The fit-out of vehicles (panel vans, cars, 4x4s..) as part of a team
• Ability to follow fitting instructions, ensuring that work carried out meets the required specification, quality, and timescales.
• Assemble vehicle components accurately according to technical specifications and assembly instructions
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly processes
• Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Assist in the installation of mechanical parts, fittings, and systems within vehicles
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
• Report any issues or defects encountered during assembly to supervisors promptly

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle systems and components
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers
• Experience with power tools relevant to vehicle assembly tasks
• Previous experience in assembly work is essential
• Experience with vehicle conversion is advantageous
• Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work efficiently within a team environment
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail and safety procedures
