Mechanical Design Engineer – Slough

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our expanding team in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working on innovative engineering projects and contributing to the full design lifecycle. In this role, you will support the design, development, and refinement of mechanical components and assemblies. Strong CAD experience is a significant plus, and familiarity with the automotive or maritime sectors will help you hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine mechanical designs from concept through to production

• Create and manage detailed CAD models and technical drawings

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery

• Assist in problem-solving, prototyping, and design optimisation

• Contribute to continuous improvement across engineering processes

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field

• Proven experience in mechanical design

• Strong CAD proficiency (experience with any major platform welcomed, Solidworks preffered)

• Background in the automotive or maritime industries is beneficial

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Full UK working rights are essential
