Your day in the life of a Healthcare Assistant
As a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) at HealthHarmonie, you will support our clinical teams across multiple community clinic locations including Beeston, Mansfield, Lenton, Southwell, Arnold, Hucknall, and West Bridgford, with a base in Sutton-in-Ashfield. You will play a key role in preparing clinics, supporting clinicians, and ensuring patients receive a safe, smooth, and professional experience.
Your responsibilities will include preparing consultation rooms with equipment, stock, laptops, and eye drops, carrying out diagnostic eye tests such as OCTs and visual fields, escorting patients to clinicians, and acting as a chaperone where required. You will also complete administrative duties including reports and outcomes, manage clinical waste in line with site policies, and maintain clean and organised clinical environments. At the end of each day, you will return equipment, laptops, and paperwork to base.
Please note our service operates seven days a week and you will be required to work 5 out of 7 days, with shift patterns typically between 07:00/07:30 - 17:30/18:00. This is a mobile role, and you will be expected to travel between multiple clinic locations.
Requirements:
MUST HAVE a full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
No prior experience required - full training will be provided
Compassionate, patient-focused, and professional approach
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
Motivated with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
You will be enrolled on a comprehensive training programme from day 1 of your employment, equipping you with all the skills and knowledge required to succeed as a Healthcare Assistant.

The position is subject to a successful disclosure at the appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and provision of right to work documentation.
What we offer:
6-month maternity cover contract with potential opportunity to become permanent
40 Hours per week (including travel time)
Monday to Sunday (Covering 5 days per week)
Starting salary: £28,641
Travel Allowance: 55p per mile
Ongoing Support and Training - a chance to progress to NVQ Level 3
