A fast-growing Design & Build consultancy is looking to appoint a commercially sharp and relationship-driven Public Sector Business Development Manager to help expand their footprint across public sector and commercial markets.



The business is already delivering high-impact projects across:
  • PAS2035 Retrofit
  • Decarbonisation Programmes
  • Mechanical & Electrical Contracting
  • Energy Consultancy
  • Design & Build Construction




Now they need someone capable of opening doors, building relationships before tenders even land, and becoming a recognised name within the sector.



This role is all about influence, momentum and commercial ownership.



You will be:
  • Building relationships with local authorities, framework providers, housing associations, healthcare and education sectors
  • Developing and growing the public sector pipeline
  • Identifying opportunities within low-carbon and sustainable construction
  • Supporting bid strategy and increasing tender success rates
  • Driving long-term client relationships and repeat business
  • Working closely with technical and bid teams to shape growth strategy




What we are looking for:
  • Proven business development experience within construction, building services or energy sectors
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement and frameworks
  • Existing network within public sector decision makers would be hugely advantageous
  • Confident communicator with a commercially driven mindset
  • Experience within retrofit, sustainability or decarbonisation projects would stand out strongly
